In reviewing the current state of COVID-19 cases in Ashe County and indeed across the country, we have decided to postpone Barbecue Apocalypse rehearsals and performance dates effective immediately. As a community theatre, our top priority is the safety of our actors, their families, and our patrons. We feel confident that this will be a temporary postponement, and we will be working together with actors, director, and facilities management to set new performance dates and a rehearsal calendar. We are all disappointed, but know that we will return with renewed vigor and confidence as soon as it is clear that this spike is over.
The Ashe County Little Theatre has made the difficult decision to cancel the rest of the 2020 season. Previously there were productions scheduled in August and October that will not happen.
ACLT believes this is in the best interest of our patrons, actors and crew. We appreciate your patience and support in this time of uncertainty. Shutting down the productions will severely decrease the cash flow for the organization and the Ashe County Little Theatre would be grateful to accept donations at this time at www.ashecountylittletheatre.org
At this time there has been no decision on postponed dates or information about the 2021 season. ACLT’s creative minds are working hard to bring Ashe County new performance opportunities with live streaming or digitally. Updates will be announced soon with opportunities for the public to be involved!
